Student Organizations
Students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activity programs to enhance their educational experience. Members of the faculty, staff and administration serve as advisors to the various organizations. Those interested in joining one of the registered student organizations should attend the student organizational fair at the beginning of each long semester or contact the organization’s Advisor. If interested in forming a new student organization, please complete the Application for Recognition as a Student Organization. For assistance, please contact the Director of Student Activities on the second floor of the Student Center or schedule an appointment via ConexED.
Students have the opportunity to join a growing number of professional organizations and honor societies. A complete list of student organizations can be found on the Lamar State College Port Arthur website at LSCPA Student Organizations.
The officers of each registered Student Organization are required to attend risk management training annually. Failure to complete the required risk management training will result in restricted access to resources for the student organization until the organization is compliant.
